Special Council

WHEREAS the Township has now received from its Technical Review Team (TRT) the final updated version of the tracking sheet for the TRT 2018 WM Twin Creeks Landfill Annual Review; AND WHEREAS, this final report confirms that the recommendations arising out of the year have been resolved, or addressed by WM subject to; Follow-up by the TRT on specified items in the context of the TRT 2018 Annual Review; and An agreed upon meeting between representatives of the Township and WM to discuss Township concerns with respect to WM’s implementation of the Landfill Complaints Procedure BE IT RESOLVED that the Township confirms the completion of its 2018 annual review of the Twin Creeks Landfill for the 2017 reporting year; AND THAT Township staff be directed to advise WM that the Township intends to maintain the $40,000.00 line of credit in place to cover outstanding landscaping requirements at the landfill, to be considered for release based on the outcome of the landscape inspection for the TRT 2019 Annual Review; AND THAT the Township hereby directs that the final version of the TRT 2018 Annual Review with the updated final issues tracking sheet be forwarded to WM and the Landfill Public Liaison Committee; AND THAT the representatives of the TRT be directed to attend at the next meeting of the Landfill Public Liaison Committee to present the results/outcomes of the TRT 2018 Annual Review. -

THAT Warwick Township Council move into an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: v) A matter concerning litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(e); -

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvene in open session. -

THAT By-law number 97 of 2018 of 2018 be read a first and second time. -

THAT By-law number 97 of 2018 of 2018 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
