Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the January 8, 2024 regular meeting be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves the scheduling of a Special Council meeting regarding Waste Management items on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. -

THAT the Special Council meeting on February 26, 2024 be cancelled. -

THAT the 2024 Municipal Insurance Program information be received and filed. -

THAT the Bridge and Culvert Study information be received and filed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council proceed into the Court of Revision for the Huctwith Drain Culvert 2022, By-law No. 121 of 2023. -

THAT the Court of Revision for the Huctwith Drain Culvert 2022, By-law No. 121 of 2023, be closed without changes to the report and that we go back into open council. -

THAT Warwick Township Council proceed into the Court of Revision for the Welsh Drain 2022, By-law No. 124 of 2023. -

THAT the Court of Revision for the Welsh Drain 2022, By-law No. 124 of 2023, be closed without changes to the report and that we go back into open council. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves the GL Report and Accounts Payable as presented. -

THAT Warwick Township Council support and endorse correspondence item 01-40 from the City of Sarnia regarding the Carbon Tax. -

THAT Correspondence Items 01-26 to 01-39 and 01-41 to 01-50 be received and filed as information. -

THAT Warwick Township Council support and endorse correspondence item 01-51 from the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors regarding a potential municipal equipment operator course. -

THAT Warwick Township Council appoint Deputy Mayor Couwenberg to represent the municipality on the Lambton Group Police Services Board for a period of two years; AND THAT staff be directed to send a letter to Brooke-Alvinston stating that Warwick offers to serve the first two years of the term, followed by Brooke-Alvinston for the second two years of the term; AND THAT staff be directed to update the Council appointment by-law to reflect this at the next regular Council meeting. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approve report P&D-04-24, and enter into an agreement with A-Z Events to organize and facilitate the Watford Summer Market; AND THAT Council approve a budget allocation of $1,000 for the pilot in 2024 to support advertising. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approve report P&D-05-24 – Pre-Consultation Development Deposit Report; AND THAT the Economic Development and Communications Officer be directed to undertake fee by-law updates to include the Pre-consultation development deposit of $10,000 for plan of subdivision applications and provide to Council for approval at a future Council meeting. -

THAT Warwick Township Council move into an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: ii) A matter regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees - Section 239(2)(b); iii) A matter regarding proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(c); xi) A position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvene in Open Session. -

THAT the In Camera minutes from the regular Council meeting of January 8, 2024 be approved. -

THAT By-laws 121 and 124 of 2023 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT By-law 7 of 2024 be read a first, second and third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
