Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the August 14, 2023 regular meeting be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council proceed into the Court of Revision for the McKay Drain 2023, By-law No. 80 of 2023. -

THAT the Court of Revision for the McKay Drain 2023, By-law No. 80 of 2023, be closed without changes to the report and that we go back into open council. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves Concept 1 - Modern Community Identity for the wayfinding project. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves the GL Report as presented. -

THAT the following items be received and filed:  Minutes of the Special Council meeting on August 23, 2023  Minutes of the Special Council meeting on August 28, 2023  Minutes of the Parks & Recreation Committee meeting on August 30, 2023  Correspondence Items 09-01 to 09-51  FIRE-03-23 - Bi-Annual Report from Township of Warwick Fire Rescue  P&D-26-23 - Internet Service Update  P&D-27-23 - Additional Dwelling Units Update  P&R-22-23 - Centennial Park Public Survey and Planning -

THAT Warwick Township Council approve the proposed Township of Warwick Strategic Plan, as proposed by Strategy Corp. -

THAT report CL-16-23 – Proposed Municipal Flag Policy be approved; AND THAT the Municipal Flag Policy, as amended, be added to the Corporate Policy Manual and implemented moving forward. -

THAT report CL-17-23 – Proposed Updated Municipal Notice Policy be approved; AND THAT the Notice Policy be added to the Corporate Policy Manual and implemented moving forward. -

THAT Warwick Township Council adopts the 2024 Council and Committee Meeting Calendar, as presented in report CL-18-23 – Proposed 2024 Calendar of Meetings. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approve report P&R-21-23 including updates to the Terms of Reference for the Warwick Historical & Heritage Committee; AND THAT Warwick Township Council direct staff to proceed with the recruitment of three (3) public members to the Warwick Historical & Heritage Committee as per policy 02.7 – Recruitment and Appointment of Public Committee Members; AND THAT Warwick Township Council Report P&R-21-23 be received and filed as information. -

THAT report PW-16-23 - Nauvoo Road and Confederation Line Intersection Improvements be

THAT the tender for the Eastman-Van Aert Drain 2023 be awarded to JLH Excavating Inc. for a cost of $43,530.00 plus HST (total cost of $49,188.90) provided there are no appeals. -

THAT the tender for the Hagle Drain 2023 be awarded to JLH Excavating Inc. for a cost of $53,618.00 plus HST (total cost of $60,588.34) provided there are no appeals. -

THAT Warwick Township Council move into an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: ii) A matter regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees - Section 239(2)(b); iii) A matter regarding proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(c); vi) Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Section 239(2)(f); -

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvene in Open Session. -

THAT the minutes from the in-camera Regular Council meeting on August 14, 2023 be approved. -

THAT By-law 80 of 2023 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT By-laws 93, 95 and 97 of 2023 be read a first, second and third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
