Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the June 1, 2020 regular meeting be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves following the lead of the City of Sarnia in terms of the waiving of penalty and interest charges on taxes, utilities and miscellaneous invoices for July 2020; -

THAT the GL report presented on June 22, 2020 be received and filed. -

THAT correspondence 06-37 to 06-64 be received and filed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports and endorses the resolution from the City of Brantford that March 17 be proclaimed Essential Workers Day. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports and endorses the resolution from the Town of Fort Erie that March 17 be proclaimed Essential Workers Day. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports and endorses the resolution from the Township of Puslinch requesting the Province of Ontario review the Farm Property Class Tax Rate Programme in light of economic competitiveness concerns between rural and urban municipalities. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports and endorses the resolution from the Township of Puslinch regarding support for Conservation Authorities. -

THAT correspondence 06-67, 06-68, 06-71 and 06-72 be received and filed. -

THAT report CAO-15-20 - Current Municipal Service Levels and COVID-19 Impacts be received and filed as information. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves the extension of the existing farm land lease, as amended, with F. Leyten for a one year period until December 31, 2021, in compliance with the existing land lease agreement (By-law 131 of 2020). -

THAT Township of Warwick Council receives and files report F-06-20 – LAS Buying Group. -

THAT Warwick Township Council accepts the staff recommendation to advertise for a consultant through a Request for Quotation process to develop a Parks, Recreation , Tourism and Culture Master Plan based on the proposed scope of work provided the scope of work is within budget. -

THAT the minutes of the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting of June 10, 2020 be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council moves to an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: ii) A matter regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees - Section 239(2)(b); iii) A matter regarding proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(c); -

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvenes in Open Session. -

THAT the minutes from the in camera regular Council meeting of June 1, 2020 be approved. -

THAT By-laws 39 and 40 of 2020 be read a first and second time. -

THAT By-laws 39 and 40 of 2020 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
