Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the November 18, 2019 regular meeting be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council directs staff to meet with a representative from the Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation to determine the feasibility of a partnership for the 2020 Win This Space contest. -

THAT the GL report presented on December 9, 2019 be received and filed. -

THAT correspondence 12-01 to 12-20 be received and filed. -

THAT correspondence 12-21 and 12-22 be received and filed. -

THAT the Overtime Report for November 2019 be received and filed. -

THAT report CL-26-19 – Proposed Newsletter Content be received and filed as amended. -

THAT as per Recommendation 10.2 of the Service Delivery Review, the Township of Warwick explores the potential of outsourcing the reading of rural water meters; AND THAT CUPE 2393.3 is contacted and any change be discussed with them prior to rolling out such a change. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves report F-13-19 – Community Improvement Plan Committee Recommendations. -

THAT Warwick Township Council directs staff to obtain quotes to re-shingle the south side of the roof at Centennial Hall; AND THAT at least three quotes be obtained for the repair work. -

THAT the minutes of the Development Committee meeting of November 18, 2019 be approved. -

THAT the minutes of the Special Council meeting of November 26, 2019 be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby approves the recommendation from the Drainage Superintendent to proceed with improvements of the McChesney Drain Extension under Section 78 of the Drainage Act; AND THAT after 30 days notice to the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority, a new report be prepared by Spriet Associates, before the work can proceed. -

THAT the Council of the Township of Warwick approves the expropriation of the lands described as Part of Lot 4 Plan No. 1 (WF), and Part of Lot 73 Plan No. 2. (WF), designated as Parts 1, 2, and 3, and being PINS 43053- 0344(R) and 43053-0354 (LT), in The Township of Warwick, in the County of Lambton; AND THAT the Mayor and Deputy CAO be authorized to sign the Certificate of Approval accordingly. -

THAT the tender for the Ross-Hall Drain - Branch A be awarded to A.G. Hayter Contracting Ltd. for a cost of $47,480.00 plus HST (total cost of $53,652.40). -

THAT Warwick Township Council moves into an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: ii) A matter regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees - Section 239(2)(b); iii) A matter regarding proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(c); vi) Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Section 239(2)(f); -

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvenes in Open Session. -

THAT the minutes from the in camera regular Council meeting of November 18, 2019, the Development Committee meeting of November 18, 2019 and the Special Council meeting of November 26, 2019 be approved. -

THAT By-laws 112 and 113 of 2019 be read a first and second time. -

THAT By-law 113 of 2019 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
