Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the June 5, 2017 regular meeting be approved. -

THAT the Accounts Payable in the amount of $780,659.80 be accepted for payment as presented and the GL Report presented on June 26, 2017 be received and filed. -

THAT the Council of the Township of Warwick approves the request from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 172 - Watford to amend the license fee for the Catch the Ace lottery; AND THAT when the prize is won and a new license is required, the fee be set at 2% of the prizes actually won on the previous license. -

THAT the Council of the Township of Warwick support the resolution passed by the Town of New Tecumseh on May 29, 2017 to request government of Ontario insist that all bills from companies supplying products derived from carbon based fuels, including but not limited to, products such as natural gas, propane, hydro, gasoline and furnace oil, to Ontario residents show the carbon fee/tax on a separate line of the bill; AND THAT the Province of Ontario be required to annually report to Ontario Citizens on the proceeds of the carbon tax. -

THAT correspondence 06-26 to 06-43 and 06-45 be received and filed as information. -

THAT Report P&D-09-17 - Community Improvement Plan (CIP) Open House, dated June 26, 2017, be received and filed. -

THAT Report PW-16-17 - Meter Replacement Program Update, dated June 26, 2017, be received and filed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports the Union Gas application to Ontario’s Natural Gas Grant Program to expand natural gas access in the Township of Warwick; AND THAT Warwick Township Council agrees to provide relief from tax payment for the new infrastructure installed for this expansion for a ten year period. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approves report P&D-08-17; AND THAT staff begin to Economic Development Next Steps and report back to Council with more information and timelines. -

THAT Warwick Township Council enters into an Agreement with Holly Transportation Services Inc. as per the proposed rate schedule. -

THAT the minutes of the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting of June 1, 2017 be approved. -

THAT the minutes of the regular Development Committee meeting of June 5, 2017 be approved. -

THAT the minutes of the Special Council meeting of June 12, 2017 be approved. -

THAT the minutes of the regular Public Works Committee meeting of June 21, 2017 be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approve the resolutions requested by Bluewater Power, as outlined in their letter dated June 5, 2017 re: Warwick Electricity Holdings Incorporated; and direct the Mayor and Administrator/Clerk to sign and execute the resolutions. -

THAT Warwick Township Council move into an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: ii) A matter regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees - Section 239(2)(b); iii) A matter regarding proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(c); iv) A matter regarding labour relations or employee negotiations - Section 239(2)(d); v) A matter concerning litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(e); -

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvene in Open Session. -

THAT the In Camera minutes from the regular Council meeting of June 5, 2017 and the regular Development Committee meeting of June 5 be approved. -

THAT By-laws 63 of 2017 and 81 to 91 of 2017 be read a first and second time. -

THAT By-laws 63 of 2017 and 81 to 91 of 2017 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
