Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the April 24, 2017 regular meeting be approved. -

THAT the Accounts Payable in the amount of $383,731.89 be accepted for payment as presented and the GL report presented on May 15, 2017 be received and filed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports Motion #CC-2017-67, passed at Lanark County on April 26, 2017, to request Provincial support in relation to the opioid crisis. -

THAT the Council of the Township of Warwick support the resolution passed by the Town of Lakeshore on April 25, 2017 to request the province of Ontario ease restrictions of surplus dwelling severances in areas zoned agriculture. -

THAT the Council of Township of Warwick approve temporary road closure of the main routes on May 22, 2017 for the Watford-Alvinston Road Race; AND THAT approval be granted to use back roads as a detour route. -

THAT the Council of the Township of Warwick grant approval to provide $1,000 towards the fireworks display at the Warwick Conservation Area for Canada Day. -

THAT the Council of the Township of Warwick support the art installation for the Lambton College Legacy Project; AND THAT the Township of Warwick agrees to maintain care and control of the Legacy Project art installation; AND THAT the Township of Warwick absolves Lambton College of any future responsibility. -

THAT correspondence 05-01 to 05-13, 05-15 to 05-20, 05-23, 05-25 and 05-27 be received and filed as information. -

THAT the Overtime Report for April 2017 be received and filed as information. -

THAT Warwick Township Council awards the 2017 Fire Master Plan Project to Emergency Management and Training, as per their proposal, at a cost of $35,380 plus HST. -

THAT Report CAO-11-17 - CAO's Quarterly Status Report be received and filed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council enters into an Agreement with FairTax Grants & Incentives Inc. as per the proposed rate schedule. -

THAT the minutes of the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting of April 26, 2017 be approved. -

THAT the minutes of the Development Committee meeting of April 28, 2017 be approved. -

THAT the minutes of the Special Council meeting of May 8, 2017 be approved. -

THAT the minutes of the Public Works Committee meeting of May 10, 2017 be approved. -

THAT Warwick Township Council move into an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: ii) A matter regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees - Section 239(2)(b); iii) A matter regarding proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(c); -

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvene in Open Session. -

THAT the In Camera minutes from the regular Council meeting of April 24, 2017 and the regular Development Committee meeting of April 28, 2017 be approved. -

THAT the hiring of Natscha Deboer and Alison Tamminga for the Records Project Assistant positions be approved; AND THAT all positions be paid the Provincial Minimum Wage. -

THAT By-laws 56 to 59 of 2017 be read a first and second time. -

THAT By-laws 56 to 59 of 2017 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
