Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the October 31, 2016 regular meeting be approved. -

THAT a Special Council meeting on the 2017 budget be scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. -

THAT the Accounts Payable in the amount of $215,073.18 be accepted for payment as presented. -

THAT the GL Summary Report by received and filed as information. -

THAT the Administrator/Clerk send a letter to the Bereavement Authority of Ontario in follow-up to meetings on the cemetery finance survey to be distributed through AMO. -

THAT Warwick Township Council support the 64th Annual Ontario Small Urban Municipalities Conference. -

THAT correspondence 11-01 to 11-07 and 11-09 be received and filed as information. -

THAT report CAO-17-16 - Update on Implementation of Warwick’s Strategic Plan 2015-2016 be received and filed as information; AND THAT staff be authorized to move forward implementation of actions and initiatives as outlined in report CAO-17-16. -

THAT Council maintains the existing first-past-the-post election model for the upcoming municipal elections. -

THAT Report CL-24-16 – Election 2018 – Internet and Telephone Voting be received; AND THAT Council authorize the use of internet and telephone voting as an alternative voting method in the 2018 municipal election; AND THAT Council authorize the release of an RFP for Internet/Telephone Service Providers. -

THAT the minutes of the Public Works Committee meeting of November 2, 2016 be approved. -

WHEREAS the Township has now received from its Technical Review Team (TRT) the final updated version of the TRT 2016 Annual Review, Waste Management of Canada Corporation (WM) Twin Creeks Landfill- 2015 Reporting Year (“TRT Annual Review”); AND WHEREAS, this final report confirms that the recommendations arising out of the year have been resolved with the exception of recommendations in four specific areas outlined in the TRT Annual Review that remain unresolved; BE IT RESOLVED that the Township confirms the completion of its 2016 annual review of the Twin Creeks Landfill for the 2015 reporting year; AND THAT the Township hereby directs that: Further discussions, involving representatives and technical advisors from the Township and WM, on the need for and timing of the installation of monitoring wells in the landfill to monitor leachate levels within the waste at the landfill, be

THAT By-law numbers 106 and 108 to 110 of 2016 be read a first and second time. -

THAT By-law numbers 106 and 108 to 110 be read a third and final time. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
