Regular Council

THAT the Council minutes from the August 10, 2015 regular meeting be approved -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports Union Gas's proposal to the Ontario Energy Board for natural gas expansion in rural communities in Ontario; AND THAT the Clerk/Deputy Administrator be directed to send formal letter of support for the proposal on behalf of Council. -

THAT the Accounts Payable in the amount of $283,102.67 be accepted for payment as presented -

THAT Warwick Township Council donate $100 to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario to support the 'Syrian Refugee Crisis'. -

THAT Warwick Township Council donate one hour of non-prime time ice to the 13th Annual Golf for a Cure fundraiser to support the Canadian Cancer Society. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports the building of a children's safety village in Mooretown in principle and provide a letter of support to the project team. -

THAT Warwick Township Council supports the endeavors to have the three bridges names after three fallen police officers; AND THAT the Highway 402 at Highway 21 Bridge be named for Cst. Randolph Chatterson, Died May 2, 1975. -

THAT correspondence 9-1 to 9-28 and 9-32 be received and filed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council authorize the Property Standards Officer to take the necessary actions under the Clearing of Land By-law No. 93 of 2014 and Property Standards By-law No. 49 of 2001 to bring 5278 Nauvoo Rd. into compliance and further accept the lowest quotation for any contract work required to be undertaken; AND THAT all associated expenditures incurred are to be charged to the property taxes on 5278 Nauvoo Rd., Watford, Ontario. -

THAT Warwick Township Council authorize the submission of an application to ‘Intake Two of the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF)’ for Bride #6 – Hickory Creek Line; AND THAT Spriet Associates be authorized to assist in the completion of the application. -

THAT Warwick Township Council authorize the Property Standards Officer to take the necessary actions under the Clearing of Land By-law No. 93 of 2014 and Property Standards By-law No. 49 of 2001 to bring 7705 Birnam Line into compliance; AND THAT all associated expenditures incurred are to be charged to the property taxes on 7705 Birnam Line, Watford, Ontario. -

THAT Warwick Township Council approve the Municipal Council Setback Resolution to enforce the minimum setback of 20m and abide by the visual screening and setback agreement; AND THAT the required officers and staff persons execute the required forms for proposed the Wisbeach Solar Project. -

THAT Warwick Township Council receive and file report CL-12-15 on the Procedural By-law Update; AND THAT the Clerk/Deputy Administrator prepare the updated Procedural By-Law for passing by by-law at the next regular Council meeting. -

THAT Warwick Township Council receives and files report CL-15-15 as presented on a Social Media Policy for Warwick Township; AND THAT the Social Media for Warwick Township be prepared as a by-law for approval at the next regular Council meeting. -

THAT participation in a co-op program with Glencoe District High School for the Fall 2015 semester be approved, as per the terms and conditions in the ‘Work Education Agreement’ and report HR-02-15. -

THAT Warwick Township Council move into an In Camera meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons: ii) A matter regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees - Section 239(2)(b); v) A matter concerning litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board - Section 239(2)(e); -

THAT Warwick Township Council reconvene in Open Session. -

THAT the In Camera minutes of the regular Council meeting of August 10, 2015 be approved. -

THAT By-law number 79 to 81 and 83 to 88 of 2015 be read a first and second time. -

THAT By-law number 79 to 81 and 83 to 88 of 2015 be read a third time and finally passed. -

THAT Warwick Township Council hereby adjourns. -
